Eburru Has Left the Building!
GDA has completed shipping equipment to Kenya for the Eburru Wellhead Geothermal Power Plant. Shipments originated in various parts of the US, including our offices in Reno, NV. GDA utilized 11 shipper owned containers that will be used as on-site storage in Kenya.
The design and supply of the Eburru Wellhead Geothermal Power Plant is being done under contract with Kenya Electricity Generating Company Ltd (KenGen). KenGen is the leading electric power generation company in Kenya, producing about 80% of the electricity consumed in the country.
Eburru is located approximately 2 hours outside of the capital, Nairobi, in Kenya’s countryside in the Great Rift Valley. The Eburru geothermal field is on the flanks of the Ol Doinyo Eburru Volcano, situated 11 km northwest of Lake Naivasha.
