Geothermal Development Associates (GDA) is a privately held U.S. corporation, experienced in geothermal power and direct use applications and projects worldwide. GDA has a core group of engineers, geoscientists and support staff. Our project teams regularly include highly experienced geothermal consultants and companies that fit client and project needs.

Since the company's incorporation in 1978, GDA has been active as a consultant to the private and public sectors in the United States and worldwide in all phases of geothermal project assessment and development for both power generation and direct use. In 1985, GDA, in the role of Developer, brought on-line the Steamboat 5 MW binary power plant near Reno, Nevada, one of the earliest geothermal power projects in Nevada.

For nearly 20 years GDA has been actively involved in providing power generation equipment to the geothermal industry both in the U.S. and internationally. Since 2002, GDA has supplied a 6.0 MW non-condensing turbine generator set, major components for both a 30 MW and 20 MW condensing steam plant, and a 2.0 MW non-condensing turbine generator set, all for international projects. GDA also provides complete plant electrical control systems using state-of-the-art technology.

Consulting
With almost 30 years in the geothermal business, GDA is supremely well-qualified to assist with evaluating project options and risks to insure a successful project from feasibility through commisioning.
