The Passing of a Pioneer: G Martin Booth 1934-2019
We are posting with great sadness today to share that Mr. G. Martin Booth, co-founder and President of Geothermal Development Associates for nearly 41 years, has passed away at the age of 85.
While many of you know Martin as a pioneer of the geothermal industry, many of us also had the privilege of knowing him personally. GDA was more than a job – the employees were a family and we find ourselves without the right words to describe just who Martin was to all of us. Martin was kind and compassionate with a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. He was the champion that you wanted to have in your corner. He enjoyed a good laugh over a good beer. If you needed a quick chocolate break, you never had to look any further than his top drawer. He encouraged everyone he knew to travel, explore, and grow. He was an exceptional business man and an even better friend.
Martin will be sorely missed.
